You might have heard him singing in the small town bars * All the songs made famous by the stars * And you might have seen his posters on the bar room wall * Live music playing live music playing live music here for one and all *

But he doesn't play the music - he doesn't write the song * Just plays his karaoki - waves his arms and sings along * Nobody listens to him - no one claps their hands * But he doesn't care - he's always there he's the karaoki man *

So you found the party music wasn't what you'd planned * Two karaoki guys they called a band * Making all the moves with unplugged guitars * Loud music playing lousy music playing Everbody's headed for the bar *

But they don't play the music - they don't write the song * Just play their karaoki - wave guitars and sing along * Nobody listens to them - no one claps their hands * But they don't care - if they bend your ear they're the karaoki band *

You might have heard him play outside The Traveller's Joy * But the only song he knows is Danny Boy With his old blues harp he has to miss a note or two * Live music playing - live music playing - live music here for me and you *

But he always plays the music - 'though it's just the same old song * The drunks when they are leaving sometimes stop and sing along * Sometimes they'll laugh at him - sometimes they'll clap and cheer * Another tune - another coin - another glass of beer * Another tune - another coin - another glass of beer *
